• What Drives Me? This project started as an assignment during my MFA at SVA when Kevin O'Callaghan gave us a transparent glass head and instructed us to use it to communicate our creative drive—A peak inside our minds. To illustrate curiosity—my personal drive—I figured the best way was to actually instigate it on the user, make them curious.

I made the first iteration of this lamp in January 2010. It was powered with batteries and it had no base. Since then I have made various iterations trying make it a fun yet usable product. I designed a wooden base and had it custom made in Colombia. I found wire covered in bright colored cloth somewhere in eastern Europe and have been experimenting with different bulbs, colors and ways to release heat from inside the lamp

  • Luckyrice 2013 Festival An identity project for the 2013 Luckyrice annual Asian food festival held in New York. Working with the slogan "Eat Drink get Lucky", I created an identity with the playful lucky cat as the main character. Custom laser cut typography, customized crockery, hand crafted posters and color coded sets provide a series of print and online material to promote multiple events held in various NYC locations during the week long festival.

The 2013 festival will also visit San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami and Las Vegas for which other collateral is being created.

  • La Impronta Brand identity created for La Impronta, a Colombian independent digital magazine that will be launched in August 2013.

Incorporating a set of parenthesis as the main icon of the identity using it's grammatical purpose (to set apart or interject other text) as a metaphor to illustrate La Impronta's mission to communicate current events by always placing them in a historic and cultural context to further understand and analyze them.

  • Joy Wai Gallery I was asked by Joy Wai Gallery to help them rebrand their business as they were moving to a new location and were looking to refresh their identity.

A typographic logo that speaks about connection and balance but also is inspired by the actual gallery location as it is a basement in New York's Chelsea neighborhood. This identity included business cards, website, exterior signage, Invitations, printed catalog and an APP catalog.

  • 31,0000 miles In both 2008 and 2009 I travelled over 30,000 miles per year between
the same 4 cities. I decided to make this infographic piece which shows all the places I could have visited within the same distance. Every color represents a route; all routes start and end in New York and they all range between 7 to 13 cities visited, including trips around the world.

  • Mrs Connection Through the persona of "Mrs. Connection," Karin and I decided to spread the love through the gift of a flower, an icon of romance. The form, playing off the old childhood game of "fateful futures",
was letter pressed and contained secret Craigslist posts inside to delight the Brooklyn subway riders privy to our renegade bouquet.

  • Ideopolis I shot this video in the NYC Subway, to make the introduction piece for our 2011 thesis forum. It was a crazy time, with a tight deadline, that resulted in this video that I now see as a clear reflection our emotional state right before graduation. This video was edited in collaboration with my friend Jules Tardy.

This video, captures the movement and fast pace of the city. The grid was the result of our search for rhythm through repetition. Overall, I think it illustrates what it felt like to finish our masters at SVA.
